Product Description

This work by Hiroo Yoshizawa is defined by its soft, gentle color palette and calm, understated presence.

Each piece is wheel-thrown by hand, then bisque-fired and high-fired.

The glaze is based on natural wood ash, layered with several metal elements applied by spray, and finished through reduction firing. Subtle variations in firing temperature and reduction create unique differences in tone and depth, giving each piece its own character.

Hiroo Yoshizawa

Born in 1974.

After leaving a corporate career in 2011, he returned to Mashiko in 2012 to note under his father at the family kiln.

Since 2016, he has been active in solo exhibitions, curated shows, and craft fairs.
